About Us

Comair Rotron is recognized as a premier global provider of air-moving and thermal solutions with leading fan technology. Our main products include Fans, Blowers, Mixed Flow air movers which are supplied to the telecommunications, automotive, computer, IT, medical, industrial control, air conditioning and electrical equipment industries.

The company was established in 1947 in Woodstock New York by James Van Ryan. Our early experience included the design and manufacturing of patented and well-known industry brands such as Biscuit® and Muffin® fans.

In 1987 under the new name Comair Rotron, the company consolidated its manufacturing in a new manufacturing facility in Mexico with Sales and Engineering in San Diego. Comair Rotron continued to grow and in 2005 opened additional operations in Shanghai, China.

In 2009, W.E.T. Automotive Systems AG acquired Comair Rotron. Our focus was supporting the automotive industry and supporting the thermal management industry with our well respected fans and blowers.

In December 2014 Comair Rotron was acquired by MDR ARCOM in Richardson, Texas . Today, Comair Rotron’s products are produced in our new ISO certified world class production facility located in Shanghai, China with Engineering in Shanghai, San Diego, CA and Phoenix, AZ. We have sales organizations in Richardson, TX., Europe, Latin America, and Asia to support our global customers.
